Part one:Literature reviewSummarizing Chinese medicine to myopia, its name of disease,cause of disease,pathogenesis and treatment; Modern medicine to myopia, its definition,pathogenesis,overview of drug treatment and research advance of Raceanisodamine Eye Drops to myopia.Part two:Clinical research(一)Objective:To research Characteristics of TCM syndrome types,Diopters,Related factors, vision and Local influence of Raceanisodamine Eye Drops in childhood with mild-to-moderate myopia.(二)Methods:By the before-after treatment in the same individuals, Choosing Forty-four cases (82eyes) aged 8 to 18 with mild-to-moderate myopia, they were coming from Ophthalmology Out-patient Department of First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, whose were all in accord with the diagnostic code and inclusion criteria. To record TCM syndrome types. Static diopters. Corrected visual acuity. The patients were treated with 0.5% Raceanisodamine Eye Drops and checked axial length, intraocular pressure,anterior chamber depth,pupil size,amenity 1 hour former and latter. Then used the drug twice daily for more than 1month and inspected vision. Dealt with data with the statistical software SPSS 13.0 and Excel.(三) Results:1,Observation of a total of 44 cases (82 eyes), TCM syndrome differentiation:33 cases were "deficiency of heart-HANG",11 cases were "deficiency-weakness of spleen-QI". The diopters of "deficiency of heart-HANG" was less than 3D, but the diopters of "deficiency-weakness of spleen-QI" was more than 3D. The difference existed statistical significance between TCM syndrome types and axial length(p<0.05), no statistically significant between its and age. gender (P>0.05).2,In 44 cases, less than 1D of anisometropia was 39 cases,4 cases was between 1D and 2D, more than 2D of anisometropia was only 1 case, the largest anisometropia was 2.63D. Anterior chamber depth was not related to diopters,axial length(P>0.05). The axial length increased with the increase of myopic degree.3,Been cured after one month, Vision improving one line was 18 eyes, improving two lines was 4 eyes, fell by more than two lines only one case. Vision of 59 eyes did not change. Pupil diameter less than 5.0mm was 81.7% of the total, more than 5.0mm(18.3%), maximum pupil diameter was 6.5mm. Before and after treatment, the difference was statistical significance by intraocular pressure,vision (P<0.05), no statistically significant by Anterior chamber depth (P>0.05).It is no statistically significant between TCM syndrome types and intraocular pressure,vision after using drops (p>0.05)(四) Conclusion1,In childhood with mild-to-moderate myopia, TCM syndrome types were mainly deficiency of heart-HANG which were mainly mild myopia,deficiency-weakness of spleen-QI which were moderate myopia, no statistically significant between syndrome and age,gender.2,About simple myopia, The axial length increased with the increase of myopic degree, axial extension was one of the primary factors. Anisometropia was universally less than one diopter. Axial length,diopters was not related to anterior chamber depth.3,The application of 0.5% Raceanisodamine Eye Drops were effective in controlling and treating mild-to-moderate myopia of children, no influence of elevated intraocular pressure and short-distance reading. So, the drops are one of a first drug which will be used for preventing and treating mild-to-moderate myopia of children.
