Objective: Investigate the symptom characteristics of cancer patients’ posttraumatic stress disorder;discuss the psychosocial factors that affect cancer patients’ posttraumatic stress disorder symptoms; andprovide the reference frame for finding psychological problems earlier.Research Methods: Use the way of convenience sampling, and use General Situation Questionnaire,Simple Coping Style Questionnaire, Social Support Rating Scale, Eysenck Personality Questionnaire andPosttraumatic Stress Disorder Check-list-Civilian Version to investigate the198cases of cancer patients.Use EpiData3.0to set up a database, SPSS13.0to deal with, and all tests are two-sided tests, the inspectionlevel is P<0.05.Results:1.The average degree of cancer patients’ PTSD symptom is moderate, but the degree ofavoidance/numbness is highest, and next is the symptom of re-experience, the positive rate of cancerpatients’ PTSD symptom reaches37.27%.2.①Different place of residence’s tested PTSD symptom has significant difference, and country isobservably higher than city(P<0.05);②Different type of cancer’s tested PTSD symptom has significantdifference, and breast cancer and metrocarcinoma patients are observably lower than other types of cancer(P<0.05);③Different sick time’s tested PTSD symptom, with time lapse having rising trend(P<0.05);④Different age’s tested PTSD symptom has significant difference, the younger group is observably higherthan older group(P<0.05);⑤Different profession’s tested PTSD symptom has significant difference,On-the-job workers are observably higher than retirees(P<0.05).3.①The neuroticism in personality characteristic is observably positive correlation with PTSD symptomscore, re-experience, avoidance/numbness and rising alertness(P<0.01), and the neuroticism isobservably positive correlation with avoidance/numbness and rising alertness(P<0.05);②Negative copingis observably positive correlation with PTSD symptom score, re-experience, avoidance/numbness andrising alertness(P<0.01);③Objective support is observably negative correlation with PTSD symptomscore, re-experience, avoidance/numbness and rising alertness(P<0.01), and the overall level of socialsupport is observably negative correlation with PTSD symptom score and avoidance/numbness(P<0.05).4. The regression analysis of full value variable shows that neuroticism and negative coping are finallyentering into regression equation and it can explain16.6%of the total variation of PTSD symptomsConclusions:1. The PTSD symptom for cancer patients existing and at a moderate level, among them thelevel of avoidance/numbness is higher than re-experience and rising alertness should be caught attention byclinical.2. Different residence、age、occupation、cancer type、sick time etc variable are influencing factors forcancer patients’ posttraumatic stress disorder.3. Social support plays a role of buffer function for cancer patients’ posttraumatic stress disorder, amongthem objective support and overall level of social support are important factors, they can forecast observably the association problem of cancer patients’ posttraumatic stress disorder.4. The neuroticism in personality characteristics and neuroticism affect the level of cancer patients’posttraumatic stress disorder, among them neuroticism is susceptible factor, the characteristics ofneuroticism is more obvious, the level of posttraumatic stress disorder is higher; and the characteristics ofpsychoticism is more obvious, the level of posttraumatic stress disorder is higher.5. Coping style affects the level of cancer patients’ posttraumatic stress disorder, and the more negativecoping style is taken, the level of posttraumatic stress disorder is higher.
