Nalyze High Expensein Medical Care From The Perspective Of Doctor’s Role Conflict

This research focuses on the role conflict situation of clinicians in public hospitals ofChina, and establishes clinicians’role conflict model based on four dimensions, whichinclude patient, hospital, Pharmacy Company and the society, which are the mostimportant stakeholders interact with doctor in practical situation. This researchanalyzes the way how clinicians’ role conflict contributed to high expense in medicalcare social problem. Bases on the analysis of clinicians’ role conflict model, thisresearch explores the reasons which cause clinicians’ role conflict based on roleconflict model and institutional level respectively. This study uses triangulationmethod which combines quantitative research and qualitative research. Questionnaires,interview and literature are used in this research. In the quantitative research aspect,110clinicians in15clinical departments from the Beijing Daxing District People’sHospital are investigated, there are86valid questionnaires are left after the screening.The quantitative data is analyzed by SPSS17. In the qualitative research aspect,8clinicians are interviewed, those who are institution establishment stuff have differentranks of professional, work in different departments and6different hospitals whichdistribute in Beijing, Guangzhou, Inner Mongolia, Hainan Province and so on. Thequestionnaire data analysis shows that73%clinicians under investigation are in highdegree of role conflict. The clinicians scores in role conflict, role ambiguity and roleload are high. And it’s found that there are6main factors in4kinds cause clinicians’role conflict through factor analysis. Through the analysis of interview data, there are14clinicians’roles which relate to the clinicians’role conflict. Based on the clinicians’role analysis, this research establishes the interaction model that clinicians interactwith different stakeholders and clinicians’roles conflict model. This research has boththeoretical and practical significance. As for its practical significance, this researchstarts from the clinicians’ roles, and analyzes how could clinicians’ role conflict bringout high expense in medical care social problem, this whole discussion increases ourunderstanding clinicians’ roles and their role conflict, which opens a new policyimprove perspective on solving high expense in medical care social problem. And asfor its theoretical significance. At present, there are few researchers discussed highexpense in medical care social problem from the clinicians’ role conflict perspective,therefore, this research could be the a comparative historical document, in a certainway, it is the reference for the researchers who would explore this field in the future.
