Objective To investigate the feasibility and clinical value of double source64-slicesprial computed tomography(64-DSCT) in assessing global left ventricular function. To solvepractical cross-correlation technique problem of64-DSCT in assessing global left ventricularfunction. Methods Ninety patients suspected coronary artery disease (CAD) underwent64-DSCT coronary angiography and M-mode UCG was divided into two groups(controlgroup and case group)according to whether have coronary atherosclerotic heart disease. Theleft ventricular end-diastolic volume(EDV),left ventricular end-systolic volume(ESV),leftventricular ejection fractio(nEF), stroke volum(eSV)of control group and case group from64-DSCT were compared with M-mode UCG using Paired t test、Pearson correlation andmade consistency checking by independent-samples t test underwent64-DSCT coronaryangiography and M-mode UCG in case whether coronary atherosclerotic heart disease. Results (1) Control group the entire parameters were s1ightly overestimated by64-DSCT comparedwith M-mode UCG..No significant differences were found using paired t test among the parameters ofentire left ventricular function obtained with64-DSCT and M-mode UCG..The parameters of entire leftventricular function obtained With64-DSCT were significantly correlated with M-mode UCGdata(r=0.736~0.936,P<0.01).(2) Case group EDV and ESV were s1ightly overestimated by64-DSCT compared with M-modeUCG.,SV and EF were s1ightly underestimated. No significant differences were found using paired t test among the parameters of entire left ventricular function obtained with64-DSCT and ultrasonic cardiogramexcept SV. The parameters of entire left ventricular function obtained With64-DSCT were significantlycorrelated with M-mode UCG data(r=0.441~0.890,P<0.01),but were inferiored to the cortrol group twokinds of method of the four indicators of the correlation.(3) Case group M-mode UCG measured four indicators of left ventricular compared withthe control group, EDV and ESV s1ightly higher than the control group,SV and EF s1ightlylower than the control group. No significant differences were found among two groups ofindicators.(4) Case group64-DSCT measured four indicators of left ventricular compared with thecontrol group, EDV and ESV s1ightly higher than the control group,SV and EF s1ightly lowerthan the control group. No significant differences were found among two groups of indicatorsexcept EF(t=-3.269,P<0.05).Conclusion The data of left ventricular function measured with64-DSCTwere accurate and reliable. The data of left ventricular function measured with64-DSCT has good accuracy compared with M-mode UCG with having coronaryatherosclerotic heart disease. Objective To observe the correlation between severity of coronary artery stenosis, leftventricle function evaluated with64-DSCT.Methods One hundred and eighteen patients with suspected coronary heart disease(CHD) and with cornary atery stenosis confirmed by64-DSCT coronary artery angiography(CTCA).According to15-segment American Heart Association classification, the stenosis ofeach branch segment was assessed with Gensini’s score (GS).The raw data of64-DSCT,parameters of left ventricular function, as well as the relationship among them were evaluatedonly in a one-stop manner. Results (1) GS was grouped according to quartile values. There were not significantdifferences in EDV, ESV between G1group(GS﹤6) and G2group(6~26),but differences inthe other groups were significant (P<0.05).There were significant differences in myocardialmass (MM), EF(P<0.05), but differences in stroke volume (SV), cardiac output (CO) were nosignificant (P>0.05).(2) GS was positively correlated with EDV, ESV and MM(r=0.613、0.846,0.712,P﹥0.05), but negatively correlated with EF(P<0.05), and was no significantlycorrelated with SV and CO (P>0.05).Conclusion (1) GS of coronary artery stenosis was negatively correlated with EF. GScan be used as the indirect indexes in heart function evaluation and the analysis of clinicalldisease condition and prognosis.(2) GS of coronary artery stenosis was positively correlatedwith MM. That is the more stenosis coronary artery(GS≥26),the more prone to increased myocardial hypertrophy caused by MM,that could be possible left ventricle functiondamaged.
