Radionuclide angiocardiograPhy is commonly used for evaluation ofmyocardial perfusion.Nuclide ventriculograPhy is caPable of assessing thecardiac functions.Recent advances in nuclear cardiology and computer technology,i.e,theutilization of gated technology and software of auomatic testing,have made itpossible to complete the collection of data of myocardial perfusion andcardiac function at a time.The use of 99mTc-MIBI and ',"Tc-p,, has been rep orte d. Howev er, rep Orton gated myocardial perfusion SPECT(GSPECT) using 2oITI is not fOund sofar in our country.In the preseflt study, 2olTI GSPECT with Germano method is used toquantitatively measure the cardiac function.We studied its reliability and feasibility.The results are follows:l. Images were clear in all the 102 cases (17 cases of hypertension,39cases of coronary myocardiac ischemia.2 cases of hyperthyroidal heartdisease.3 cases of myocarditis.1 case of dilated myocardiopathy,and 40normal subects). Data of myocardial perfusion and cardiac functions.3were displayed simultaneously. The results coincide with the literatures.2. Based on the 3-D reconstruction of 2olTI GSPECT, quamitative data ofleft vefltficular functions at rest and poststfCss were analysedautomatica1ly using Germano method. The parameters include leftventricular ejection fiJnction (LVEF),end diastolic volume (EDV), andend systolic volume (ESV).The results correlate with regular gatCdvelltriculograPhy (LVEF, r==0.89, P<0.01; ESV, rv0.96, P<0.01; EDV,r=0.87, P<0.0l). Repeated study showed the results were of goodrePeatability and reliability.3. Cardiac functions at rest were measured using Germano method inpatieflts with coronary heart disease and hyPertension. The resultscoincide with those in the literatures.Couclusions:1. zolTI can be used in GSPECT and to measure the cardiac functionssimultaneously. This new method mny be eXtended to other hospitals.2. zolTI GSPECT is accurate, repeatable and reliable.3. zolTI GSPECT simultaneously measures the myocardial perfusion andleft cardiac functions, it simPlifies the examination and reduces patients'exPosure to radiation, it can also provide 3-D display of 1eft myocardialperfusion.
