Objective To assess the application of 64-slice spiral CT in evaluating the left ventricular function and coherence of left ventricular function parameters measured by 64-slice spiral CT and multi-breath-hold cine MRI.Methods 28 patients who were suspected to coronary artery disease (CAD) were scheduled for 64-slice spiral CT angiography of coronary artery, Metoprolol was not used before examination. The short-axis left ventricular slice was reconstructed based on raw date of CTA, then load to the heart function analysis software (Argus Syngo) to calculate the parameters of function. Then, multi-breath-hold cine MRI was adopted, short-axis images of left ventricular were achieved. Left ventricular function was calculated like CT.Result Correlation of all parameters between 64-slice spiral CT and MR was r=0.717~0.927. Left Ventricular End Diastolic-Volume(LVEDV),Left Ventricular End Systolic-Volume(LVESV) was overestimated with 64-slice spiral compared to MRI(P=0.000)while Left Ventricular Ejection-fraction (LVEF)(P=0.000),Left Ventricular myocardial Mass (LVMM)(P=0.035) was underestimated. Left Ventricular Systolic-Volume (LVSV)was overestimated compared to MRI(P=0.118).Conclusion Good correlation was founded in all parameters between 64-slice spiral CT and multi-breath-hold cine MRI in Left ventricular function measurement.64-slice spiral CT can provide left ventricular function based on coronary artery angiography.
