Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an autoimmune disease, of which the main clinical manifestations are the symmetrical polyarthritis of extremities. In our country, the incidence of RA was0.32%-0.36%, and if it is still lack of attention and without timely treatment, the disease would gradually get worse and worse, which can lead to joint deformity even disability, thus to lose the labor ability. The Combined treatment of Tradition Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine can make a certain curative effect which is usually treated on the basis of the conventional Western medicine treatment and then added with internal and external Chinese medicine treatment, or acupuncture therapy. The treatment with the ShengYangYiWei method, which is derived from the Spleen and Stomach written by the Li Dongyuan, also together with the treatment of the western medicine, can reduce complications, shorten the duration of disease, and improve the efficacy. In this paper, it is to observe the increasing efficacy and reducing toxic substance in the treatment of RA by the ShengYangYiWei method, and then provide effective method and theory basis for the clinical treatment. Objective:To observe the effect on the increasing efficacy and reducing toxic substance in the treatment of RA by the ShengYangYiWei therapy. Methods:The positive diagnosis of110cases of RA patients was randomly divided into2groups:57cases in the treatment group while53cases in the control group. Both groups were treated with oral medicine of nimesulide, methotrexate and methylprednisolone, but the treatment group was added with modified ShengYangYiWei decoction, and the control group were treated with pantoprazole sodium capsules, they were given as the medicine course, and the comprehensive effect on the treatment, the erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), C reactive protein (CRP), and the liver function, as well as the gastrointestinal symptoms were observed. Result:Based on the comparison on the DAS score, ESR, CRP before and after treatment in both groups, it is concluded that the treatment group was significantly better than the control group, the difference was significant (P<0.05). And the ALT and upper gastrointestinal symptoms in the treatment group were significantly lower than those in the control group, there was significant difference between two groups (P<0.05).Conclusion:The modified ShengYangYiWei decoction can effectively prevent the side effects of digestive system during RA treatment, and it is apparently effective for improving the symptoms and controlling the disease progress during RA treatment.
