| Taking the wild resources of Cornus walteri as the research object, this paper carried outthe checking on the germplasm resources of Cornus walteri in Shandong Province; theresearching on plus tree selection and the seeds and fruits quality of Cornus walteri, so as toprovide theoretical basis for the genetic improvement and breeding of Cornus walteri, andoffer improved variety for energy forest construction of Cornus walteri.Basing on the extensive survey data in the wild, this study applied statistical method such ascorrelation analysis, multiple comparisons and clustering analysis to explore the variationpattern of the morphological characteristics of seeds and fruits of Cornus walteri. Moreover, itapplied comprehensive scoring method to formulate the standards and methods suitable forplus tree selection of Cornus walteri in Shandong Province. The main research results are asfollows:(1) Cornus walteri has extensive distribution in Shandong, and the main producing areais in the hilly land of the middle and south of Shandong. However, the distribution of wildresources in general is not much, which is mostly scattered in remote gentle slope land andthe farmland surroundings and burrock among hills. There is a little distribution in the shrubsof low mountains and hills, and its distribution in plain terrain is mostly introduced planting.The hilly area in the middle and south of Shandong is scattered with more ancient trees ofCornus walteri. In addition, a little planting in artificial forest was kept in Taishan Mountain,Yiyuan and Qingzhou. Cornus walteri in Shandong Province is mainly distributed at theelevation of200m-800m. Of which, most are distributed at the elevation of200m-600m. Thedistribution characteristics of Cornus walteri in Shandong Province are as follows: extensiveand concentrated distribution area; mostly scattered and island-shaped distribution; wildCornus walteri i has strong adaptability to living environment, which is seriously intervenedby human factors.(2) Taking the index of candidate plus tree as the basis, this study formulated the method and standard on the selection of plus tree of Cornus walteri by applying comprehensivescoring method, and selected more than28plus trees. It achieved the initial selection on theresources of Cornus walteri in Shandong, provided scientific basis on plus tree selectionunder scattered single plant conditions of Cornus walteri, and achieved better effect.(3) Further study was carried out on the morphological characteristics of the quality of10seeds and fruits. It was found that there exists significant correlation among hundred-grainweight of seed, hundred-grain weight of fruit and the diameter of seed. In addition, thereexists strong correlation between kernel oil content and seed and fruit oil content at the levelof0.05. After conducting multiple comparisons on the morphological characteristics of theseed of each provenance, it was found that the hundred-grain weight of seed of theprovenance in Jinan, Laiyang and Yantai was good, while the oil content of the provenance inTaishan Mountain was higher. In general, the comprehensive morphological characteristics ofthe seeds collected in Taishan Mountain were excellent. Moreover, it was found via clusteringanalysis that there was no obvious regional disparity in the morphological characteristics ofCornus walteri in Shandong area, and the provenance differentiation was not big. Basically,Shandong area can be studied as a provenance.(4) The oil of Cornus walteri contains2kinds of saturated fatty acid and8kinds ofunsaturated fatty acid. Straight-chain fatty acid below twenty carbon chains is its maincomponents, accounting for95.6%. The composition of fatty acid of seed and grain oil ofCornus walteri is simple and highly concentrated, which is beneficial for the processing andutilizing on the oil of Cornus walteri. |
