Research On Coastal Area Bailang River In Weifang City Landscape Planning

Bailang River is the mother river of Weifang, which contains Weifang culture and breeds hard-working and good Weifang people. Binhai New Area being built will be a sub-center in Weifang city, and also is an CBD of the city setting technology, the future, and the eco-city. Bailang River flows into the sea here, bringing history and culture of Weifang, Weifang also has a beautiful tomorrow.In order to upgrade Bailang River landscape, the related concepts and theories were researched through reviewing literature, historical research, field survey, and other methods to collect large amounts of data and to organize induction. Under the guidance of the layout a city and four gardens, the geographical status of Bailang River were considered,and the program of other domestic Binhai New Area were referred. Weifang local culture as the design elements, landscape design reflects its localization through extraction of marine culture, wetlands culture, sea salt culture and folk culture of Bailang River. A method for urban waterfront planning objectives was established, that is to say,urban waterfront planning should be based on the water location, role in the city, combined with the demand planning function, the local culture, a planning objectives.It is suggested that the local culture should be content into the landscape design through extraction of specific cultural elements symbol,and investigation of local folklore, history and other characteristics.Relying on existing waters characteristics of Bailang River, the coastal landscape and human elements were re-designed. The individual elements of the natural and artificial individual elements were integrated. In accordance with the conditions of different venues around, the purposive requirements, and different environmental needs of water clock, contacts, context, appropriate landscape were designed, so as to achieve modern multi-level landscape not only the alternate of humanities and the nature, but also the blending of history and modern times. In order to fit local environment, it was designed from three aspects including the natural ecology concept, social ecology concept and the economic ecological concept. It also provides a new idea for the development of landscape localization, characteristics. The cultural elements of Bailang River were treated artistically which were applied by the spatial morphology planning, architectural style design, landscape node design, landscape sketch design, detailed landscape design, and shop design to complete landscape design expression.The methods of improving soil of Bailang River were proposed. For the formation of a small area of green landscape planting and short-term effects of greening projects, isolation layer made gravel and pebbles wrapped by woven was set in the soil and blind ditch or blind tube system were designed to cut off groundwater reverse osmosis. For large area of green planting project, deep grooves were excavated at the side of soil and blind tube system were designed to make the rain wash away gradually saline ingredients in the soil to improve soil salinization component. Hardy and salinity plants were screened. The approach of use of native species, desalination plants, phased implementation of coastal areas to enhance the landscape level has practical significance for Bailang River water system, green building and similar projects.
