The Design Of The Runaway Of The Locomotive Diesel Engine

During operation of locomotive diesel engine, the runway accident may take place due to improper manipulation and mechanical faults of fuel-supply system. With the increase of load of locomotive, the times and possibility of the runaway of locomotive diesel engine will rise. Although the times of the runaway accident are not very much, the consequence caused by the runaway accident is very serious. When the runaway accident happens, crankshafts, cylinder heads, piston connecting rods, and cylinder liners can be damaged. The economic loss may be enormous extremely.Therefore, in order to enhance the operation safety of locomotive diesel engine, it is very important to install the device controlled independently.This paper compares and analyzes the reason and methods of the runaway of locomotive diesel engine. The author considers the method by separating the oil which goes into cylinders as a simple, reliable, and effective method. After investigating extensively and research seriously, the author proposes a technical scheme about the device. Especially, the author discusses sensor selection, component installation, signal modulation circuit, valve of separating the oil, electromagnet, electric control and design of power supply, date dump and communication,clock design,digital display,watchdog and memory, Speed measurement module. And also design some flow diagram of the modules during the working and some program modules used to control the SCM, for instance, processing module of the fixed time, processing module of the speed measurement, processing module of the runaway and so on.In the final, Verification shows that when the engine speed to runway speed,controller sands speed signal accurately and timely,and controls oil cut-off,and the diesdl engine rapid shutdown.In normal circumstances Controller accurates speed,but also accurates the real record of the whole process from sending runaway speed signal,oil cut-off valve, changing of engine speed to the engine shutdown. This design uses oil cut-off protection,which is characterized by the simple structure,easy control,reliable performance.The experiment results indicate that This design scheme can contol the runway accident caused by various reason effectively,and has the promotion of social value.
