Recent years, caused by the ships dragging anchor, the ships occurred allision andhitting bridge accidents one after another, have already caused huge loss of life andproperty. Through the investigation and analysis of dragging accidents, it can be foundnot enough to the ships’ early warning, and can’t effectively monitor mooring state,therefore the discussion of ships’ safety monitoring research is particularly important. Ithas long been dominated mostly by artificial mooring operation. Operator based onexperience at the scene under the command complete the huge task. Mooring operationhave the shortcomings with the original control methods, labor-intensive and so on.Recently, the rapid development of embedded technology is most popular, this offersthe possibility to change the status of the above. In this paper, application-based remotemonitoring system embedded anchor completion of the manual operation, the operatordoes not have to be able to complete the task on the board, we can increase the mooringoperations level of automation and security.Based on the analysis theory and research status of working principle on themooring system, it concluded that observation of ship cable oscillation amplitude (theangle of the hawse pipe and the plumb line) and the measurement method of anchoringforce to determine whether ships anchor or not. Then the paper research ships’ anchorinformation management system. Through the design of hardware and software,manufacture and test, it can complete the equipment development tasks. The systemconsists of the data collection terminal, the monitoring terminal and the wirelesscommunication system three aspects. Data collection terminal include ARMdevelopment board, tension sensor, digital cameras, between ARM development boardand tension sensor connected adapter plate interface circuit and so on. Monitoringterminal include ARM development board, between ARM development board andperipherals connected adapter plate interface circuit and so on. The wirelesscommunication system is mainly composed of a pair of wireless bridge. The above threeaspect constitutes a set of ships’ anchor pre-earning system. The system’s working principle: Data collection terminal through the camera and tension sensor collect videoand pull force information. These information through the wireless bridge transfer to themonitor terminal. The monitor terminal can remote monitor two anchorage’s ships. Onceship occur anchor, monitor terminal can release sound-light alarm. Finally, the paper putforward the method about not depend on calculation made by the chain forceinstantaneous speed of a ship. The method aim at the ship shifting anchored faced the bigwind and storm, calculating an instantaneous speed (average value). Compared withlarge number of experiments measured speed of the ship, it can predict the ship anchor.Test results show that, the system’s communication distance can reach5km, and thesystem can through camera monitor real-time dynamic condition of anchor chain. Themonitor terminal can release sound-light alarm and it prevent ship anchoring. Thus it canmeet operational requirements of small-medium ships. This paper can be considered thesafety of the ship, aiming at exploring an effective way of ships’ monitor and informationmanagement.
