In this paper, the research object is the urban landscape space of Xiaqiong county town of Batang county in Tibetan areas of Sichuan. Based on literatures and field investigation, then with the local nature, social economy and local culture as the background, and time for clues, from five stages (longitudinal study) sunch as, the settlement formation ofXiaqiong town, toast reign, the gai-tu-gui-liu policy period, the republic of China, and after the liberation to analyzes the process of urban landscape space development of Xiaqiong town, and then summarizes the urban landscape space characteristics of each period. Then puts forward and analyzes of six main factors for the evolution, respectively, natural geographical environment, socio-economic development, political policy-oriented,, urban planning guidance (external factors), the process of "the mainland" and impact of religion (internal factors). Using the theory of Kevin? Lynch’s urban image to conducts a detailed analysis of the evolution of every landscape space element (landscape analysis) of Xiaqiong town, include roads, borders, regions, markers and the node, and then investigates their role and position in the overall landscape space of Xiaqiong town. Finally, proposes the countermeasures and suggestions of Xiaqiong country town of Batang county’s protection and developmen from the foregoing analysis.In summary, it is the hope that, through the analysis of the evolution and the influencing factors of Xiaqiong town of Batang County urban’s landscape space, attempting to summarizes and excavates some development law of the Ethnic Towns of Western Sichuan, and then provides reference to the development and protection of Xiaqiong town and some other similar towns.
