| Water transport has a pivotal position in the national economy, while safety is the eternal theme for water transportation. Navigation safety system is a complex system composed by four factors, namely human, vessel, environment and management, in which the human factor is the core element, and also the most active one. Nowadays, with the shipbuilding technology continues to progress, higher requirements are put forward for the crew. Whether in the field of human sciences or applied sciences, the research on human factors has always been the main object of attention for scholars in various fields. In the shipping industry, the research of human factors mainly focus on the crew and the crew refers to on-board incumbents, they carry out their duties to ensure the normal passage of all kinds of vessels. The prevention of human error and to reduce of human risk has always been a hot research topic in the field of maritime transport; however, research is relatively inadequate and not perfect. In view of this, after read a large number of theoretical researches widely, this paper discusses and analyses human factors in navigation safety in order to achieve an improvement of the safety system from the angle of human factors. The topic of this paper comes from the human factors part of a project of Hainan Provencal Department of Communications, named Qiongzhou Strait maritime security status monitoring and warning system for safety index. By human, it refers to crew in this paper. This paper choose the mechanism of impact of crew on navigation safety as the researching object, first, specify the importance of human factors in the navigation safety system, and from the multiple sides of the domestic and foreign researchers in this field, related researches were reviewed.Subsequently, the author introduces the development of human factors research to study the history and tradition of the main human factors research methods and models. Then, from the perspective of systems engineering, ship navigation safety on the relationship between influencing factors are described. Next, select the key influencing factors, with the use of structural equation modeling, combined with Strait Shipping empirical study, targeted countermeasures and suggestions put forward. This article conduct a study detail factors surrounding the theme of crew aimed at a comprehensive and systematic study of the factors, which reduce the crew human error, reduce accident losses and improve the reliability of the crew has certain significance. |
