City rapid rail transit can not only solve the problem that how to get rapidly within along distance travel, but also support city space expanding to a wider range and build a publictransport fast link between a deputy center and a main center, which can promote thedevelopment of a deputy center. But the rapid rail transit station spacing is larger thancommon rail and the station numbers are relatively less than common rail, so it is difficult thatthe passenger flow of the rapid rail transit reach the passenger flow of the common rail. Inaddition, sacrifice of the investment and financing mechanism is another reason that it isdifficult to make decision to build city rapid rail transit for city mayors.This paper takes Shenzhen as an research example to quantitatively evaluate the rapidrail transit from the multiple perspectives of improving the city spatial structure instead of theonly perspective of rail traffic passenger, which can find a better way for evaluation methodof rapid rail transit quantitatively. At the same time, from the perspective of humanity trafficdemand and rational investment and financing, the article puts forward reasonable suggestionson the rapid rail transit construction.
