| With the rapid development of economy and urban construction, all kinds of green spaces in cities are booming. As a kind of green spaces closing to residents’ daily life, people pay more and more attention to the construction of community parks. Because of the rapid expansion, it brings series of problems after it has been finished, for example, the superficial design, dilapidated service facilities, less function set, lack of daily management, which may not meet residents’ requirements and seriously influence service quality, and we must improve the post occupancy of community parks. Therefore, the study, starting from the post occupancy evaluation of community parks, was written to explore shortages of built park and provide reference to its construction in the future.Firstly, the paper analyses community parks, its classification, similarities and differences compared with other parks, users of the green spaces, its functions, designing elements of community parks and so on. This step lays theoretical foundation to the subsequent research of post occupancy evaluation of community parks. And then, the paper discusses the definitions and characteristics of post occupancy evaluation, studies function and significance of the theory, summarizes the basic methods. And then, in combination with the understanding of community parks, the influential elements of community parks were discussed in the paper. Based on what we have been discussed above, we may divide methods and steps into4parts: preparation stage, field survey stage, sorting analysis stage, evaluation stage.Based on the evaluation of Ya-que lake community park and Ke-da-jia-yuan community park, the paper puts the post occupancy evaluation theory into practice. Through the field observation, questionnaire surveys, interviews, it is concluded that a series of information and data related to the two parks discussed above were showed in the paper. Based on the collection and analysis of the information and data, the reason which results in the post occupancy was concluded:from the users’ point of view, the "people-oriented" idea is not enough in-depth; from the angle of site planning, site design is not perfect; from the built environment management maintenance, its daily management failed to follow up. For those reasons, optimizing suggestions was displayed in the article in order to provide reference to the planning and designing of community parks in the future. |
