Study On Post-occupancy Evaluation At Chang An Park In Shijiazhuang

Urban park is the important part of urban land, which has important contribution to the improvement of the ecological environment, and play an important role in purify the air, adjust microclimate and reduce the wind speed and noise. At the same time, urban park also is the main place that can make urban residents close to nature and loosen body and mind, which plays an important role in city construction and the service of the people’s livelihood.Users are the active agent of urban park, satisfy their use demand and promote their use feeling should be the highest goal of city park designers and builders. So,paying more attention to the user’s experience and exploring how to make the urban park meet the needs of users better, has become an important problem that garden learners and designers need to be addressed, also, this is design often mentioned humanization’s basic requirement.This paper take Chang An park in Shijiazhuang as an example, seeing from users’ point of view, using the Post-Occupancy Evaluation related methods such as observe and record, interview, questionnaire survey and data collection and analysis,to insight into the real usage of park. Investigation is mainly set out with users and activity space. Through the way of questionnaire survey to obtain the basic information of users and users’ satisfaction condition of the indicators in the park. The survey of activity space mainly adopt the method of observation and comparative analysis. These space such as the entrance square, the bank side, the fitness area and the children’s activity area. To select two to three activity area of each space to comparative analysis, through researching users’ mental model and behavior characteristics to analyze characteristics of each space popular and unpopular causes.The results of the survey show that with the beautiful environment and perfect service facilities, Chang An park is in a good usage and be gave high evaluation from users. But there has some fly in the ointment, such as lack of perfect children’s activity area and poor lighting conditions in night and so on. Based on the opinions of the consumers surveyed suggestion and the perspective of professional analysis and study, put forward the corresponding reform suggestions, making comprehensive evaluation of overall usage and the optimization advice. These advice mainlyincludes:1. Complete the corresponding service facilities for your specific situation. 2.Strengthen the construction of plant landscape. 3. Improve functional partition. 4.Strengthen the function of science. 5. Optimize the details, improve the comfortableness.The results of the survey can make the Chang An park’s construction and development in the future can be more in line with the user’s psychological and behavioral requirements. Also, to provide reference basis for the similar parks’ construction.
