Design And Experiment Reseach On Digital Electronic Governor For Diesel Generator Set

With the high-speed developing of national economy, diesel generating set has beenwidely used as a supply equipment in telecommunications, Banks, hotels, airports and otherimportant departments, which can be used as emergency power supply or main power supplyof ships and other applications. At present the analog electronic governor has be widely usedin diesel generating set application, while the digital electronic governor has not been usedwidely yet. With the development of electronic technology, the high performance digitalcontrol chip used in diesel generator set control system is the main accuracy of the dieselgenerating set operation.Based on the principle of the diesel generator set, freescale16high-performance singlechip microcomputer has been choose as control chip. The mcu which has been widely used incars. Powerful and extensible electronic governor hardware has been designed. Circuit forreceiving signal such as speed, cooling water temperature, air temperature, pressure has beendeveloped. Power output circuit and CAN bus communication circuit have been developedtoo. The tool software of CodeWarrior and Altium are used for completing the hardware andcontrol program.According to the different cost requirements, the feasibility of the three kinds of controlstrategies has been discussed by combining the two actuators. By using modular andhierarchical programming ideas, different control strategies and the writing of the program,the system of portability and reliability guaranteed. Through the simulation, and the programcontrol function can realize normal.Finally, the control function is realized by simulating. In order to test the control effectof different strategy control effect, experiment has been carried on the D6114diesel engine.By using LABVIEW PC software written communication and condition monitoring, on-linecalibration way real-time adjustment of control parameters, the optimal control effect, and add,subtract load test, the experimental results show that diesel generating set digital electronicgovernor can reach the level of speed control accuracy.
