Study On Spatial Structure And Morphology Of Science&Technology New Town In Xi’an

With the last of urbanization and the outward expansion of urban space, toenhance the competitiveness of the local economy,many cites have developed newscience and technology town in the marginal zone,relying on the universities andresearch institutions. Under the background of the rapidly expansion of urban spaceand the dramatic changes of the strcuture of the esities xi’an,as the most advanced citein the western expansion,which has its unique regional culture, human resources andeographical advantages, industry configuration should consider its own characteristicand know the space form of the potential new town and analysis its issues rationallyand explore a development model for its new town. Xi’an high-tech industrial park andChangan district have developed independently in a long period, even the former onehas more education and scientific research resources and the other one has itscomprehensive advantages, both of them have not bring their superiority into fullplay.With the development of new areas of the South in Xi’an High-Tech IndustrialPark and the expansion of xi’an.Xi’an High-Tech Industrial Park and Chang An districtwould have more contact with each other in the aspect of function and administrativeboundary.How to form a mix used urban space and to become the sub center of xi’an inthe view of integration of Living, service, industry, education and research will be amajor challenge in the future for the new high-tech new town.Based on the research status at home and abroad，in this paper, the second chapterput forward four steps of the evolution of the science and technology town in ourcountry,and summed up the new town space structure of the morphologicalcharacteristics of science and technology in our country which based on the comparison of the characteristics of mechanism and the characteristics of elements ineach step.Then,the characteristics of the structure of new science and technology townwas summed up. In the second chapter,the process of xi’an new town and high-technew town was carded and compared with the mechanism of other districts inxi’an,further more,this chapter put forward the characteristics of high-tech new town inxi’an. In the fourth chapter,by analyzing the space structure form(functional structure,land use layout, road network, development intensity, spatial texture) of the fiverepresentation elements, of xi’an high-tech industrial park and Changan district andanalyzing the structure morphology in different scales quantitatively with the methodof space syntax,the chapter put forward the problems that existed in the strcuture formof xi’an science and technology new town.The fifth chapter of the paper tried tofind pattens available for xi’an through the former experience of existing science andtechnology town in the world,and tentatively put forward a development patten,whichin the view of the all-in-one integration of the industry,education,settlement andservice for xi’an science and technology new town on the basis of reorganization of itscurrent situation.
