The subject is for the construction of Engineering Mechanical and ElectricalEngineering Logistics Technology Department of Harbin Institute of Technology.In order to coordinate with the teaching,research and laboratory construction ofDepartment of Mechanical Engineering Department,our laboratory is in urgent needof a horizontal jib tower crane which can transform the upper structure, howere,there is no the specifications of such cranes available for purchase on the marketcurrently. So we decide to design it ourselves and entrust it to the relevantmanufacturers to manufacture the crane, and then carry out related experiments.This paper includes three parts,including design, finite element analysis andmanufacturing. In the design section it will focuse on the design of crane metalstructure and adopt modular design approach,Not only to one kind of tower cranetype structure for each combination of design,but in between different types oftower crane modular design. In according to Criteria of design for crane GB/T13752-92and Criteria of design for tower crane GB3811-2008, the overallstructural design method is used to desing the main structural components of thecrane, and then draw engineering drawings. Then matching job agencies and drivecontrol section will be seleceted to complete the entire tower crane design. On thebasis, the finite element analysis software will be used to build the simplified wholes t r u c t u r e t h e e q u i v a l e n t f i n i t e e l e m e n t m o d e l. A n d t h e n t a k e s t a t i canalysis on the finite element and Check its strength, stiffness and stability.According to the analysis results, the size of the design is modified to meet therequirements.Dynamic analysis is taken on the Tower crane finite element model to obtainits low natural frequency. transient response analysis will be taken to analysis thestructural deformation dynamic stress. After the above design and analysis, and thenthe tower crane will be manufactured and assemblied...
