With the rapid development of automobile industry, automobile has gradually become anindispensable part of people’s daily life. But the popularity of the automobile has also broughta lot of urban traffic problems, such as transportation, traffic congestion and so on.Researching on unmanned intelligent vehicle is one of important means to solve the problems.Unmanned intelligent vehicle collects all kinds of positive information data from itself andenvironment through their own sensors, passes the data into the central computer to analyze,and manipulates unmanned intelligence vehicle running through the optimal path which iscalculated by the central computer. The throttle control system is the most basic controlsystem of the unmanned intelligent vehicle, it is the most important system to realize thevehicle stability and safety when it runs.The throttle control system of the unmanned intelligence vehicle was reformed onelectronic throttle in this dissertation. The action of manipulating the pedal by driver wassimulated through the SCM, the displacement was transformed into voltage signal by pedalposition sensor, and then it would be transmitted to ECU, meanwhile ECU drives the DCmotor rotation to achieve the purpose of controlling the throttle’ position.Through analyzing the nonlinearity characteristics and their characteristics of theelectronic throttle’s mechanical structure, the mathematic model of the throttle control systemof unmanned intelligence vehicle was established. Depending on the model, the paper usedPID and Fuzzy PID control strategy to control the throttle system.Based on the MATLAB/Simulink, the throttle control system simulation model wasdeveloped, in this case, step response and steady state tracking simulation will been done. Theresults of the simulation indicate that the throttle control system of unmanned intelligencevehicle which was designed in this paper can exactly control the throttle’s position, and ensurethat the vehicle has a excellent dynamic response and steady state characteristics. Finally, theresults prove the developed throttle control system of unmanned intelligence vehicle can meetthe requirements of automatic driving by itself.Through simulating the throttle control system of unmanned intelligent vehicle, it will provide theoretical guidance for the future research.
