With the development of automobile industry, many measures have been taken to improve the stability and dynamic performance. And now more and more people pay attention to the fuel economy of automobile, security and the reduction of exhaust emission. It is every difficult to complete the optimization of the automobile through the traditional mechanical control method. At the same time, the rapid development of electronic control technology has improved the performance of the vehicle and made great changes in the automobile industry. As one of the modern automobile electronic systems,,the accuracy control of electronic throttle is an important measure to improve the performance of engine.In this paper, the working principle and basic structure of the electronic throttle was analyzed. The nonlinearity characteristics including aerodynamic impact, nonlinear spring, gear clearance, coulomb and viscous friction of the electronic throttle body was studied too. After the analysis of the electronic throttle, The mathematical model of the electronic throttle body was built up and the physical parameters of the throttle was measured through experiments.In order to explore the control effect of different control methods on electronic throttle, the electronic throttle system was controlled by PID algorithm and sliding mode algorithm. Build the throttle valve model and the controller model in Matlab/Simulink and get the structure and parameters of the controller.Using the Infineon easykit board as the controller and using the H bridge driver TLE8209 to design the drive circuit for the system. Programing the two algorithms through C language. Compiling and debuging through DAv E and Tasking in this paper.The simulation and experiment results show that compare with PID control algorithm, variable structure control algorithm can adapt to the nonlinear characteristics of the throttle. But it makes buffeting easily in the actual control system.
