As the special public building in propagate the national power of the country,the courthouse occupied an important position in the city. With the development ofeconomy and judicial system, the shape and style of courthouse has become thefocus of public concern and the indispensable place of political life.This research, considering Court of user behavior activities as a starting point,court buildings public space and shape as the research object, making use of theprinciple of environmental psychology and aesthetics, through perceptual experien-ce of research and field behavior observation to the legal workers and the public, studys different attitudes of the court building layout, shape and style of different us-ers. Thus the paper summarizes the universal law of user perception. Generallyspeaking, In the form of space, the judicial personnel agree with the style whichembody with solemn and symmetry; on the contrary, the public tends to the waywhich is more modernly, rationally and orderly in courthouse design.. In the formof functions, users show their demand to the details of humanistic in courthousedesign. And how to coordinate the needs of both is a big challenge to architect.On the basis of investigation and analysis of contemporary court buildings’forms, the reseach attempts to predict objectively that how to realize thecoexistence of power and democracy. The last chapter gives the conclusions thatthe shape and style form of courthouse should be more modernly, rationally andorderly. And much more humanization design should be reflected in the furturedesign of courthouse.
