Research On Historic Villages In The Lijiang River Basin

The research objects are located in Lijiang River Basin. Research objects are historic villages in the Lijiang River Basin. Methods including relevant literature review and field research and mapping to study the site selection and layout, street style, river system structure, construction arrangement, construction detail, and spatial arrangement of historical villages in the Lijiang River Basin under the influence of geographic environment, population migration, and social culture. A unique style of historic villages is generated from specific geographical environment of Lijiang River Basin, which is also studied in the paper.Firstly, the background of historic villages in the Lijiang River Basin is summarized, in which aspects including history, population migration, natural environment, cultural environment, and historical site selection factors are introduced to know the background of village generation. Secondly, the characteristics of typical historic villages in the Lijiang River Basin are analyzed to know background, surrounding, internal environment, and geomancy of typical historic villages. Thirdly, the characteristics of streets and lanes and water systems in historic villages are analyzed. Structure, scale, node, decoration characteristics, and functions of streets and lanes are analyzed. Water system of historic villages includes water system structure, water system style, diversion mode, and drainage mode. The scientific content consisted for street space and water system in historic villages is explored. In the Chapter5, the construction characteristics of historic villages in the Lijiang River Basin are analyzed, including:shape, structure, characteristics, component form, functional analysis, construction decoration, detail characteristic, public construction characteristic of residential buildings in historic villages. In addition, the characteristics of residential buildings in historic villages in the Lijiang River Basin are summarized. The initial discussion on protection of historic villages is completed in Chapter6. In the conclusion part, through research on component types and forms of different levels of historic villages in the Lijiang River Basin, a summary and research on historical background, street and lane structure, water system structure, construction, detail art experience of historic villages is completed. It is hoped that certain inspiration will be brought to the future environmental art design.
