However, what in common is that the sicentific theoretical basis, rational and rigorous way and perspective of sustainable development are all needed through the research on this problem.Halcyon Gallery has a long-established cultural and arts institution with its headquarters in London. Since the1980s, Halcyon has dealt in masterpieces from a wide range of art movements, from Impressionism to Modernism, from Pop Art to contemporary Western art. Gradually, Halcyon Art International has become an indispensible part of London’s cultural scene. In2012, Halcyon Art International will hold its inaugural Chinese exhibition, Halcyon Gallery Collection, in Shanghai. After the trasformation, the coal bunker changed into a new art center, which is now known as the Shanghai Halcyon Gallery Center. Define the scope and meaning of reuse through the research on the reuse of old industrial buildings. Penetrate into the advantages and disadvantages of the reuse of old industrial buildings through analysing the history and status of the industrial constructions in Tiexi Area. Bring new life to old Coal Port through learning successful experiences of other industrial cities and using the topology and transparency of architectural language.This design highlights sustainable development of architectural context and the importance of the city.
