With the development of urban civilization, globalization and increasingly fierce competition, more and more countries have realized the positive value of spreading the image of the city which needs to create unique image of the city with the foundation of inheriting traditional culture. The "city brand image" concept gradually introduced to urban construction in the development of city. Now cities at home and abroad are all constructing their own city brand image recognition system, saving city resources and energy to promote the future development of the city. The global city brand image recognition system researching’s upsurge appearance shows that most of the cities are making great efforts to explore suitable development way, development direction and image brand for the city.This paper makes a comparison between the image of the city construction at home and abroad under the background of rapid development urban civilization. It observes and researches the mold of brand image, understanding the needs of the city and observing the development direction from the angle of aesthetic art and then researches the related problem of the design of the city brand image recognition system, making a deeper discussion of the city brand image recognition system in the developing countries. First of all, it is pointed out that the brand image recognition system design will take root in the district’s soil, reflecting the local characteristics and the behavior of the city continuity and regeneration. Secondly, it is stated that the design will ’not follow the current style and reflect the civilization construction which can get back the original at the process of strategy implementation process of city brand image recognition system and the combination of design system and the rational city panning. This paper aims to dig and find out the nationality, locality and personality characters and then make a deep research and finally make unique and national city brand image, enhancing the city’s communication interactive, modernity, competitiveness and the cohesion of the city.At the same time, this paper aims to make an overall thinking and research of the city brand image recognition system design which urges the city brand image recognition system which is in the initial or developing period to develop with characteristics. This paper puts forward the problem of assimilation and modeling mode according to the research of related concept in regard to city brand image and the analysis of the advantages and disadvantages about the current city brand image recognition system. The subject makes a research of city brand image recognition system design and explores the significant strategy value of city culture and characteristics in the city brand image recognition system design based on the case of "Chinese maple city" in Benxi, Liaoning province which aims to estabjish the image of Benxi. And then it puts forward the significance and effect of the city brand image recognition system design which comes into being the reference of modeling city brand image recognition system design, trying to improve the image of city, enhancing the city competitiveness and promoting the economy development. This paper comes up with the city brand image recognition system elements which include city brand concept recognition, city brand behavior recognition and city brand visual identification under the theory of cooperation CIS and City CIS, combined with related subjects regarding city construction. And it concludes the principle and effect of city brand image recognition system design, making a brief introduction of the implementation and idea for city brand image recognition system. According to the actual research analysis and the concept orientation thinking of Benxi, this paper provides an exploring scheme for the modeling of city brand image and makes a concrete argumentation for the theory researching result which can instruct practice. It is hoped that the paper can have the reference value for other cities brand image construction.
