The present work, study on the imaging city brand of Chang-Zhu-Tan, is one of the important constituents of my tutor's topic "Imaging City Brand Research-Imaging City Strategic Research of Chang-Zhu-Tan Economic Integral". In the paper, the city image was studied by combining the theory of brand effect with the new platform of research of city image. The brand effect is established, which provides further theoretical basis for the research of city image.The first part of the paper is mainly about the basic theory research, in which brand effect of city image was defined based on the summary of both city image and brand effect and the signification of merchandise brand effect. The effect of imaging city brand is the concentration of good city image and the mark of the capability of comprehensive competition for a city. It indicates a completely new research direction at home and abroad, which is an extension of imaging city brand and the integratation of multi-subjects.The second part of the paper is mainly about the application of the research on imaging city brand. Firstly, an interrelated estimation system is established based on the theoretical research of establishing, promoting of city image and brand effect. Then the theory is put into applications to promote the city image and brand effect of Chang-Zhu-Tan region. Combining theory with practice, a positive exploration is performed as how to promote Chang-Zhu-Tan's city image. The research about establishing and promoting city image and brand effect will help to improve the spirit and style of Chang-Zhu-Tan region.The target of the paper is to study the theory of city image and brand effect which may serve people. It aims to solve the problem of how to improve the people's imagination about city, enlarge the influence of city, explore the city's essential style, express the city's personality and build the theory of city image and brand effect that adapts to the cultural background of China.
