The paper first introduces the background of GPS (Global Position System),the domestic and foreign development present situation.The specific related technologies involve in research subject are stressed.The GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) service was adopted to realize the real-time monitoring and scheduling of vehicle with GPS terminal. The research techniques relate to the GPS positioning, database access, geographic information, computer network and the data structure.The GPS vehicle monitoring system in this paper is divided into three parts:the mobile terminal DTU(Date Transfer Unit) module, the computer network and GPRS service, database service center.The operating process of the system can be divided into four steps:the initialization and installation of the DTU,the selection of the optimal network access,the debugging of visual serial port and the configuration of the wireless network protocol.The server is responsible for the design of system interface, both parse and store of data, reasonable lookup aspect and update algorithm.With the design we can achieve the real-time monitoring of vehicle position, remote scheduling, modification of data and observation of historical route. The research simulates the data of GPS terminals due to the limited conditions which is based on Zip distribution and Poisson distribution.There is a close relationship between the study of the GPS vehicle monitoring system and development of social economic. GPS technology has been applied in intelligent traffic control, distribution of goods and car navigation which brings great economic benefits to individuals and society. |
