With landscape architecture upgrade to NO.1subject, the study on landscape architecture at home and abroad is also increasing. The development of landscape architecture entered a new stage.Currently, experts and leaders pay more and more attentions to the research of village landscape.Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture is one of the main ghetto of Tujia minority.In this area, there are so many hills and rivers. Relatively closed Geographical environment made the Tujia minority traditional village been preserved more intact to now days.In this thesis, from the perspective of history and Feng Shui, I analyzed the natural environment and historical causes of Tujia minority traditional village, also I analyzed cultural characteristics of Tujia minority village from the three levels of state culture, institutional culture and spiritual culture. I selected three representative natural villages-Penjia villiage,Yumu villiage,Gunlong villiage to conduct site visits in ENSHI autonomous prefecture, I research the historical origins, location, demographic profile of the three villages, and study landscape composition (residential buildings, farmland, woodland, roads, etc.) from a landscape architecture point of view. I, respectively, analysed Tujia minority traditional village landscape. about the village’s location, layout, and landscape composition. I combined with a lot of literature on the basis of the research, analysis and summarized the characteristics of the Tujia minority traditional village landscape.I summed up their respective landscape features from the various elements that constitute the village landscape.Finally, the paper discusses the significance of Tujia protection and development of traditional village situation, problems and suggestions, based on this to investigate the protection and development of Tujia traditional village landscape in Enshi autonomous prefecture; I hope this thesis will provide meager reference and learn for village landscape reash research.
