First Exploration Of Construct Features In Chongqing In Ming Dynasty

China has a vast territory, because the wooden structure is applicable to variousplaces, also formed a unique local practices in various regions. Chongqing is located inthe southwest of China, formed a unique local practice system, so the buildingtechnology of wood structure is also very local characteristics. The Ming Dynastyarchitecture is an important transition between the Tang and Song Dynasty architectureand the Qing Dynasty. Construction technology of this period is inherit and carryforward the Yingzaofashi, and promote greatly for the QinggongbuGongchengZuofa.These characteristics are also different degrees of pushing the development of localarchitectural technology.This paper takes the Ming Dynasty in Chongqing existing wooden structures on asthe object of the research, through the on-site investigation and analysis of the literaturedata collation, this paper research on the Chongqing Ming Dynasty woodenarchitecture.The Bashu existing Ming Dynasty architecture is very rare, the known MingDynasty architectures are just about30.The Ming Dynasty architectures in Chongqing isabout more than10, mostly located in the urban area of Chongqing, and most of themare temples. First of all, this paper conducted field research and collect documents ofthirteen published buildings of Ming Dynasty, according to the Chongqing MunicipalAdministration of Cultural Heritage announced “Chongqing Cultural Heritage List”.Then choose the six typical examplefor analysis, in order to more in-depthunderstanding of their construction characteristics. On this basis, to the ten MingDynasty wooden architecture of quantitative and qualitative analysis, then respectivelystudy the construction of the plane, local features and characteristics of the facade,beams, roof trusses, Dougong and large wooden components. This paper also discussthe similarities and differences of Chongqing and the northern wooden architectureMing Dynasty architecture and construction in Sichuan Yuan Ming, in order to analysisthe official architecture impact on the local architecture in Chongqing and thedevelopment of adjacent areas.Finally, this paper summarize the Chongqing Ming Dynasty wooden architecturehas to create a more common characteristics, such as flat-screen column grid structured,using lifting beam and Chuandou, the brackets use more Xiegong and Tiaowo, more slender brackets, and roof of generals style combined with local practices.Chongqing is located in the southwestern region, far from the political center of thenorth, so this area is less affected by the by the official practice impacts, comparativelythe local practices of architectural styles, structural beams, wooden scantlings such agreater impact on the architectural forms in Chongqing. Therefore, Chongqing MingDynasty wooden architecture has a relatively independent development system.
