Because of lack of docking between GI andtraditional planning system, GI can not be effectively implemented in the urbandevelopment and management process.Through elaboration of current ecology and environment problems in China,analysis serious consequences caused by these problems and then obtain strategicpositioning of GI programming. Through consolidation related theory and practice onGI planning of domestic and foreign, develop research trend on GI programming.Through analysis between GI planning and spatial development planning, different levelplans and traditional planning contents, construct integration approach of GI planningand traditional planning. Through analysis GI value choices of different levels, formevaluation criteria and evaluation system, obtain GI safety degree of different levels.Through analysis of GI programming step, target and elements and summary of GInetwork construction methods and evaluation methods, obtain GI planning system.Through an application case, state GI programming process. Through integration of GIand traditional planning system, analysis of GI planning control elements system and GIland use planning control and guide, reach planning and control approaches of GInetwork. Through analysis difficulties of GI network planning and implementation,reach GI network planning and management method, so as to form GI network planningand management measures.It, the lack of planning system and implementation system, has become no longeravoided problem in Chinese rapid urbanization process. This article hopes through GIplanning ways, GI integration with traditional planning content, GI implementationmanagement to explore a way to guide GI planning and implementation. Then urban planning disciplines can really guide the construction of urban ecological.
