Research On The Countermeasure Of Traditional University Campus Landscape Transformation

Traditional university campus carry a heavy historical culture and colorful outdoor activitiesof school teachers and students. However, with times changing the development of landscape andenvironmental in the traditional university campus is faced with a growing challenge.There hasbeen a lot of problems about transformation practice of the existing landscape, such as thedestruction of historical culture environment, the shortage of outdoor activities’s functions and soon. And the most design theory are more general overview the method of the overalltransformation of the campus landscape, not research on classifying campus specifically, so thecurrent theoretical results has great limitations relatively.This paper research field to traditional university campus that are representative of NanjingCity. Study the problems deeply that exist in the landscape environment, and analyze theproducing reasons of these problems from both practical and theoretical points. Those reasons arenot fully respected the main subject environment user’s needs and opinions during thetransformation of the traditional university campus landscape. So the research take the mainsubject environment user’s participation as a breakthrough in the process of transformation of theold campus landscape,and based on the theory of the "pattern language". The research topics arethe operational of main subject environment user’s participation and practice of environmenttransformation, and investigate participation mode and organization measures of the mainenvironment user in the environmental transformation of the old campus landscape.As for the limitations of the Aristotelian theory of "pattern language" and feasibility ofenvironmental user’s participation, this thesis research is limited in the scope of domesticuniversities which have been opened the related disciplines of landscape architecture. Theprofession of students majored in landscape and the characteristics of the environment user canavoid the limitations of the theory of the "pattern language", which achieve the operability ofparticipation effectively. Combinate teaching theory of landscape architecture and the practice ofcampus landscape transformation. Explore the way of transformation from new ideas. Anddevelop a set of effective environmental reform measures of the traditional university campuslandscape, form a complete system, and then argue the traditional university campus landscapetransformation instance.The paper first define the campus landscape transformation concept and sort the currenttheories out. Then describe the development of the domestic and foreign universities planning and design. Collate and summarize the common problems faced by campus landscape andenvironmental development with do field research in Nanjing. According to the mainenvironment user’s change and the development of environment transformation theory, sum thetrend of today’s traditional university campus landscape environment. As for the combinationpossibility of teaching and campus landscape transformation, propose a new development idea ofthe traditional university campus landscape environment. Then according to the new ideas of thetraditional university campus landscape transformation and combined with the teaching oflandscape architecture tour, from the four areas of reforming the subject involved in the mode,diagnosis and management of landscape transformation, the content and principle oftransformation and process management, detail transformation countermeasures of thetraditional university campus landscape. Study and analyze the practice case and demonstrate thefeasibility of the traditional university campus landscape transformation measures. Lastly, sumthe full thesis briefly andshortage and innovation with the author’s thinking and outlook.
