Humanized Design Study Of Pediatric Waiting Seats

Thesis summarized the main problems of waiting seats, summed for each use of the design of the seat design factors through research and analysis about pediatric waiting seats of the Guangzhou Children’s hospital. The thesis referenced the domestic and international design related to the seat, referencing analysis and objective evaluation. And thesis put forward their views and to improve the design analyzed their pros and cons, combined seat design factors and analysis of objective evaluation. And finished the program reached humane waiting seat design requirements finally.Thesis will take "Guangzhou Women and Children Center" as research object, define the research and use scope of waiting seats inside, analysis the status quo of waiting seats inside, analysis the pros and cons of waiting seat. Thesis will statistic the structure of medical people, the structure of main user groups of waiting seats, and their main sittings, behaviors, problems in waiting times.The main thesis of data collection is consist of the crowd inside the pediatric waiting hall and their behavioral characteristics of each record, children’s behavioral characteristics, the structural characteristics of the accompanying crowd, the height dimensions of seat and other data related to the seat design and so on.The main research subject of thesis is0-3years’old babies and their families. Thesis will divide0-3years’old babies into0-1years’old babies and1-3years’old babies according to the babies’physiological and psychological characteristics. To solve different problems according to the different ages, structures, behaviors, user population of waiting seats and its accompanying population proportion.Thesis focuses on babies and their families’psychological, physical and social needs in the waiting times on the basis of research and environmental factors on pediatric waiting seats human design, including the baby and their families’needs, to explore the pediatric waiting seat design factors.Babies’needs are consist of White Terror psychological needs, safety needs, treatment, lying, eating, vomiting and other behavioral needs. Families’needs are consist of material comfort, human dimension comfort, deep lean on comfort care needs of children, glove needs, call number information, entertainment and other needs. Design factors are consist of storage, communication, module function, human scale comfort, the seat surface material comfort, babies and their families shared space comfort.The target design is to focus on rest and psychological environment wait of infants and guardians together, to provide full contact sharing space for babies and their families, to meet the psychological, behavior and other higher needs of this group during the waiting time, to design comfortable and humane pediatric waiting seats.
