Design And Research Of Multi-functional Office Lounge Chair

In today’s society, with the increase of the working pressure and strength, "sit" has become the normality. And more and more people choose having a rest in the office space. At the same time, with the improving of the people’s health consciousness, the demand for health is growing too. However, it is the office function that the discussion of the chair in the worldwide by the stylists, and little attention to the recreational function. In China, the design of chair owns the outdated methods, single functions, scarce innovation and the study of multi-functional office chair is a blank. It can not face the fierce competition environment at home and abroad.In this paper, according to the ergonomic principles the author designed and developed a multi-function office chair which can provide working、reading、rest and massage when in the office room. After taking the analysis of dynamics and strength, the prototype have passed the final test and the product entered the market successfully which makes up for the gaps in the multi-functional office chair of the its company. The main work and results are as follows.Firstly, this paper describes the background and significance of the study, and explores the causes of fatigue by sitting. What’s more, it analyzes the current situation at home and abroad.Secondly, according to ergonomic principles to determine the size and functions parameters of the multi-functional office chair. In the design process, It proposed a variety of solutions to compare, and determine the optimal scheme and establish the three-dimensional model finallyThirdly, it takes the simulation of dynamics and statics of the chair model by using ADAMS and ANSYS software. And won the functional relation of the chair and modified the footrest, backrest and seat. At the same time, the footrest connecting rod is optimized and improved without increasing the material eventually, reaches the premise of improvement goals and meet the design requirements.Finally, It obtained the physical prototype and takes the relevant strength and fatigue testing for sitting surface、five-star foot、backrest、footrest and armrest according to the test standard. which verifies the accuracy of the simulation results and provides a reference for the chair design and shorten the development cycle.
