Design Analysis Of Pediatric Waiting Furniture Based On User Research

General hospital and Children’s Specialist Hospital carry the main tasks of pediatric consultation in China.However,there are many shortcomings in Pediatric waiting furniture design,such as single function,insufficient safety and so on.These defects greatly affect the medical experience of children and accompanying family members.Besides,it’s not conducive to the rehabilitation of children.Combined with field research,it was found that the main problems of the pediatric waiting furniture are: the seat form in the waiting area is relatively simple,ignoring the needs of children and families of different ages;families with young children have higher requirements for additional functions of the seat,such as Storage function,entertainment function,etc.;the difference in the size of the seat is not well reflected;the body feel of the seat material fails to meet the expectations of the user.The purpose of this article is to explore the methods and principles of Pediatric waiting furniture design based on user research,to improve the Pediatric waiting environment,and embody the humanistic care of medical treatment.The paper classifies and analyzes the typical waiting families of children,establishes family roles to solve common design problems of Pediatric waiting furniture design.The research method includes literature research,observation method,interview investigation and questionnaire survey,recording for preliminary design survey,behavior analysis method and induction method for statistics analysis and summaries.And the user role is constructed to design the family waiting furniture of three ages.Through research,the applicability of the user research method in the design of this subject was verified.The Kano model was introduced to construct the demand level of pediatric waiting furniture,and the needs of users of different ages were extracted and sorted,and the needs were finally determined as the basis.Requirements,expectations,and charm needs for the follow-up design links;the design principles of pediatric waiting furniture are summarized into age stratification,humanization,versatility,interactivity,fun,and environmental protection,for future pediatric waiting for consultation Furniture design improvement provides a valuable reference.
