Ecofeminism was born In the1970s, which is an important genre of the third wavefeminist movement. The first wave of feminist movement happened between the middle ofthe19th century to the1920s, and this period of feminism emphasizes biological function, which is a wave characteristic. Characteristic of this wave was freedom of feminism. Thesecond wave of feminist movement happened in the1960s. This period of feminism, emphasized the role of gender and was characterized by the radical feminist. The third waveof feminism was in the1970s to1990s. This period of feminism was under the influence ofpostmodernism thoughts and was not in the pursuit for women unified theory, but begun topay close attention to concrete issue. The wave is characterized by natural feminism, as thewomen’s liberation movement and ecological protection with the combination of ecologicalfeminism.《Silent Spring》 written by Rachel Carson was a sign of pulling open the prelude of themodern environmental movement. There are two aspects reflected the influence of the modernenvironmental movement: on one hand, the modern environmental movement has caused aseries of global social practice campaign; on the other hand, The modern environmentalmovement led to theoretical reflections on theory for the cause of the environmental problems. In the process of theory of reflection, some insist that Anthropocentrism are the originalcauses of environmental problems. This essay consists of four chapters. The first chapter is on the research status ofecological feminism, which is including abroad and domestic ecological feminism researchstatus. The second chapter discusses the origin of ecological feminism. Ecological feminism isrooted in the rise of modern environmental movement. The modern environmental movementin the1960s led to the global environmental protection movement and the theoreticalintrospection of the original cause to the environment. Feminism in came up question on theoriginal causes of environmental problems was the human center doctrine, therefore, led tothe ecological feminism. The third chapter was through the different academic points of ecological feminism, including: cultural ecological feminism, spiritual ecological feminism, socialist feminism, social construction, social-ecological feminism, and ecological feminist philosophy.Although the academic proposition is different, they have common ideas:Firstly, women and nature are in a close relationship. The oppression of women by men, nature also oppressed by men, the two kinds of the root of the oppression is consistent, namely "male chauvinism". Only liberated women, to solve environmental problems, onlycan solve the problem of environment, women also won the freedom and liberation infundamentally. Secondly, the concept of social system for the male statue and led to theemergence of all oppression, as a result, they try to find a kind of social system or idea in theirown research field in order to improve women’s status, which can solve the oppressed womenand nature. Thirdly, women’s liberation, must want to join the ecology point of view. Fourthly, the solution of environmental problems is in the perspective of women. The fourth chapter gives a brief on the ecological feminism. Although the ecologicalfeminism provides a new perspective to solve the problem of environment, which is a verypositive role, there are a lot of problems in ecological feminism.First of all, women and nature, as ecological feminists, put all as altogether in theoppressed status, hoping that all of the environmental protection women can form an allianceto jointly solve environmental problems. Within the ecological feminism, however, due toreasons such as racial discrimination and religion, ecological feminist are in great differences,on the natural dependence is different also, this make them between is difficult to form astrong force, become the backbone of environmental protection.Secondly, before unknowing oppression order, one tries to put all the women as a unionbut out of repressive system of society is not realistic and the alliance is also unreliable.Third, from the ecological point of view, the generation of ecological crisis reflects thetense relationship between the kind of relationship between man and nature, and maleoppression of women, in essence belongs to the kind of relationship. So, we are in exploringthe root causes of environmental problems, and putting forward his solution to environmentalproblems, which is based on the site-specific relationship.Fourth, ecological feminism also posed a challenge to modern science, in terms ofcritical object, this kind of question is inappropriate. It was looking for what causes thehuman to unscrupulous in large-scale and applied to natural science and technology, ratherthan a science and technology itself.
