Research On Women's Environmental Protection Practice From The Perspective Of Ecofeminism

The progress and development of human society is a dialectical process.While modern industrial civilization has brought about progress,it has also exposed its inherent defects which mainly reflected in the increasing pressure of ecology,environment and resources,the conflict between human,nature and society,and the sustainable development of society resulting in a state of tension,depression,and panic for mankind.Therefore,the polarization of wealth has brought social unrest;the environmental pollution has caused ecological deterioration,the increase of pollutants in the environment has posed ecological deterioration;even the technology,rationality,subjectivity and initiative,which once made people proud,have been widely suspected and criticized.The emergence of ecological feminism,as a social thought born in the 1970 s,provides ideas for people to solve these problems.Eco-feminism is the combination of environmental protection movement and feminism.It advocates that in the process of development,we should treat all things in nature with a holistic,connected and caring thinking from the connection between nature and women and finally devote to the realization of equality between women and nature.This theory has been practiced and enriched in the women's environmental movement worldwide promoting the common progress of women's liberation and environmental protection.The study of Ecological Feminism in academic circles has been more in-depth.Especially in the West,the explanation of female environmental movement is also relatively comprehensive.But the study of combining the two is relatively inadequate.Therefor as the environment-protection becomes a global issue,it is necessary to study it from the perspective of ecological women.In China,the environmental situation is not optimistic.At present,China's economy is shifting from a stage of rapid development to a stage of high-quality development,and pollution prevention and control and environmental control are still a crucial stage to be crossed.Therefore,it is imperative to strengthen the strategicfocus of ecological civilization construction and explore new development ideas of harmonious coexistence between man and nature.The promotion of ecological civilization cannot be separated from the participation of women.On the basis of reading a lot of relevant materials of eco-feminism,this thesis summarizes the implication and process of eco-feminism and expounds its theoretical gist from the view of nature as a whole,environmental justice and ethics,global environmental problems and international relations.Additionally,in the analysis of women's environmental protection practice and environmental organizations at home and abroad,the role and status of women has been clarified.At last,in order to realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation,we must attach importance to the ecological environment and integrate the ecological civilization into the social development.Also we should rely on the theory and practice of ecological feminism to help China's ecological civilization construction,think highly of the role of women,and strengthen international cooperation to show the image of a big country.The report of the Nineteenth Congress has pointed out that the modernization we are building is the modernization of the harmonious coexistence between man and nature,which is also the goal of ecological feminism.
