Due to global warming, after Copenhagen, the concept of " carbon emissions trade " got into people’s eyes. As a developing country, currently China is not undertaking the mandatory emission reduction obligation, but the increasing pressure for reducing the emissons makes it necessary to study the carbon emissions trade system. Focusing on the global situation of climate change, this paper introduces the concept of carbon emissions trade mechanisms and analyses the theoretical basis from the perspective of economics, law and ecology. By examining carbon emissions trading mechanisms and the legislation of foreign countries, this paper deeply analyzes current situation and problems of domestic carbon emissions trade. From the aspects of clean development mechanism (CDM), voluntary emission reduction market and environmental Exchange, the current situation of China’s carbon emissions trade practice is briefly introduced. Through analyzing the feasibility and necessity of construting China’s carbon emissions trade system, its reality and significance is explored. Concrete suggestions in respects of development model, legislative principles, main contents and matching systems is proposed, so as to construct a more suitable system of carbon emissions trade.
