The method of determination of trace elements in geochemical samples has been established by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry. The geochemical samples were dissolved by HCL-HNO3-HCLO4-HF-H2SO4at normal pressure and extracted by hydrochloric acid(5%of HCL).The12trace elements of Cu, Pb, Zn, Co, Ni, Mn, Ba, Sr, Ti, Li, V and Cr were simultaneously measured by ICP-AES. Some parameters affecting the determination, such as instrument parameters, sample digestion method, analytical wavelength and spectral level of elements were investigated. The method had been applied to the determination of elements in National Standard Reference materials and the results are in agreements with certified values. The recoveries of this method are92.3%-103.2%, detection limits are less than0.10μg/g and precision (RSD) is less than5%(n=10).The method has the advantages of less use of reagents, higher sensitivity, good accuracy and precision, rapidness, high efficiency and being friendly to environment. So the method is suitable for routine analysis of geochemical elements.
