With the rapid development of modern science and technology,antimony and its compounds have been widely applied in many fields.Therefore,the determination of the antimony in the ore needs a higher requirement.In this paper,an analytical method for the rapid determination of antimony elements in ore was established by using inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry(ICP-AES).In the first place,the dissolution time and temperature of the ore solution were optimized.Secondly,the factors influencing the accuracy of the results,such as acidity,matrix effect and coexisting elements,were investigated.The testing conditions of the instrument were optimized,including the RF power,auxiliary gas flow,atomizer gas flow,pump speed,observation mode,observation height and integration time and other parameters.Analyzing the determination results of national standard substances(namely GBW07269,GBW07276,GBW07277,GBW07278,GBW07279,GBW07280,and GBW07281),the obtained results including accuracy,precision,limit of detection and recovery were satisfactory.These results have reached the requirements of the geological laboratory quality control: DZ/T130-2006.Furthermore,the measurement uncertainty of method was evaluated.The mathematical model was established,the source of uncertainty was expounded,the components of uncertainty were quantified,the components of each uncertainty were synthesized,and the extended uncertainty was calculated.By the quality control and quality assessment of the samples,the results showed qualified rates were all in accordance with the requirements of the relevant specifications.Compared with the traditional analytical methods to determine the antimony in the ore,the ICP-AES method owned many advantages,such as simply analysis process,facile to conducted,time saving,widely linear range,excellent stability and reproducibility,which means it can well adapt to the geological testing industry demand.
