In recent years, the geochemical analysis as the key supporting technology willface great opportunities and challenge with the development of geolocial work andproject initiation of Multi-purpose Regional Geochemical Survey(MRGS).To keep withthe requirements from regional mapping and eco-geochemical assessment,newmeasurement techniques and methods with higher accuracy and high precision needto be developed.In order to ensure the quality of analysis, a systematic analyticalmethodologies with XRF,ICP-AES (MS) and AAS has been established.ICP-AES technology has the advantages of high sensitivity and precision,lowdetection limit wide linear range and determination of multi emelents. So it is widelyused in geolocial analysis and it is the main method of multi elements analysis in themorden geological laboratory. This paper mainly studies the meyhod of determinationof Ca, Mg, Na, Ba, Be, Ce, Co, Cr, Cu, La, Li, Ni, Sc, Ti, V, Zn in geolocial sampleswith ICP-AES.This test uses the HCl-HNO3-HF-HClO4to preparate the sample solution andminimizes interference.Chooseing the best analysis spectral line,rational setting ofdeducting background position and interference element correction coefficient,reducespectral interference.I optimize the working parameters of instrument in the test. Themethod has been applied to the determination of these16elements in NationalStandard Reference samples and the results are in agreement with the certifiedvalues.The precision of the method for the element is0.64%-3.04%RSD (n=12). Themethod has the advantages of measuring component, less reagent, short analysistime, low labor intensity and easy operation.It is suitable for the matrix components incomplex geological sample analysis. This method may be used by other rock and mineral samples of related components’s analysis. This method has been used in ourunit of regional geochemical survey project,the data is accurate, reliable and mappingeffect is very good.
