The Historical Evolution And Contemporary Value Of Zhejiang Science And Technology Culture

Zhejiang has a long history of culture, in which the science and technology culture is an important part. In the ancient period of Kuahuqiao and Hemudu, Zhejiang science and technology culture budded, and in the Southern Song Dynasty, it reached the peak with Hangzhou as a national science and technology center, representing the highest level. The ancient highly developed science and technology culture had not only influenced the contemporary economy and culture in Zhejiang, but also played an important role in forming the scientific and technological thought and value of Zhejiang people, and Zhejiang spirit as well. The inspection of historical revolution of Zhejiang science and technology culture shall contribute to find out the outline of its origin, formation and development, and to analyze and study its contemporary value, and to conclude its normal features.This thesis includes five parts. The first part is the introduction. The second part is the science and technology culture briefing, stating the relationship of ordinary culture and science and technology culture, science and technology view in Marx and Engel’s theory and science and technology value of the Communist Party. The third part is the inspection of the historical revolution of Zhejiang science and technology culture. It contains three typical periods, named the science and technology culture’s dawn, development peak and transformation. And in each period the typical science and technology knowledge, achievements, scientific and technological thoughts shall be listed out, and as well as their influence on the local culture. The forth part shall analyze the contemporary value of Zhejiang science and technology culture. To be detailed, the patriotism of science and technology, a strong stimulus for Chinese science and technology development; the rational realistic thought to bring up the excellent Zhejiang-originated scientists; the spirit of pragmatism and innovation to promote the private technological enterprises; and spirit of being open-minded and keeping striving to drive the marine science and technology. The fifth part is the conclusion. On the base of framing out the historical revolution and analyzing the contemporary value of Zhejiang science and technology culture, this paper shall conclude its four typical features.
