With the rapid development of science and technology, The Information revolution made it possible to develop new theories and doctrines. Accompanied by the Information revolution, information warfare became a new form of the war after the machinery warfare. In order to actively promote the new revolution in military and improve the quality and effectiveness of logistics, the primary issue facing our topography troops was to accelerate the procedure of informationization about surveying and navigation. The map for war is "silent wizard" and "eye of our army" in current and near future, Managing and supplying the map accurately, efficiently and timely is particularly important. In this paper, a center map warehouse was taken as an example. The information management system cannot meet the needs of surveying and navigation in current. To optimize the quality and effectiveness of map management and supply, a perfect map integrated information management system was proposed and implemented. The system comprises map management, user management, operation safeguard, training, making overall plans and analysis for department, especially decision making for machine.Firstly, by analyzing the characteristics and requirements of the map management system, the flowchart of the map management and supply operations was presented. The request of map integrated information management system was analyzed and the detailed design of various modules and database were presented. Secondly, based on the practical request of the center map warehouse, a map integrated information management system was implemented which is safe and convenience. The Visual C++6.0integrated development environment and C++programming language were used to develop the proposed system. The SQL Server database management system is adopted to store and manage our maps. The ADO interface is employed to improve accessing performance of database. Some pseudo code and user interfaces were given. Finally, we conclude this dissertation and some future works were proposed.
