This study discusses the research status of forest resource heterogeneous data integration and data warehouse technology in forestry.In practical application,the technology of forest resource data warehouse is still facing the following two major problems: First,there are differences in different databases,as well as expression form of statistical field names,types and codes in data sheets.Second,the differences in data storage will result in low data utilization,since deep multi-dimensional analysis,and data mining are based on standardized data.For these problems,forest production function analysis,rule extraction of suitable place and suitable tree,model fitting of growth and harvest prediction are needed.Based on the historically stored forest resource data,this study designed and constructed two general data warehouses: forest resource small-class data warehouse and standard/sample plot data warehouse,as well as the fact table and dimension table of these two data warehouses.By using ETL technology,the extraction,cleaning and conversion of heterogeneous data sources of forest resources can be achieved,and the processed standardized data will be stored in the target data warehouse for unified management.On that basis,a system of forest resource data management is developed based on B/S system architecture.This system includes the following functions: the acquisition of heterogeneous data sources,the cleaning and conversion of heterogeneous forest resource data,multi-dimensional analysis of forest resource data,data mining,and graphical display of the results.In this study,the existing forest resource data can be used efficiently to provide decision support for forest farms and other management units in the aspects of growth and harvest,tending and thinning,rule extraction,etc.
