As an important part of marine emergingindustries, marine bio-industry is of great significance to the promotion of marineecological civilization construction and sustainable development of marineeconomy.To give full play to its important role in promoting blue economy, it ought togive consideration to both national food security and maritime rights maintenance.Firstly, it’s necessary to realize the diversity, significance as well as vulnerability ofmarine biological resources, and then take measures such as preserving marineecological environment, expanding the development and utilization fields of marinebiological resources and strengthening the application of marine high technology.Finally, it’s supposed to scientifically make sustainable plan of marine bio-industry,accelerate the construction of sustainable development system and blue science andtechnology support system.Rich marine resources especially marine biological resources of ShandongProvince establishes the industrial foundation of the rapid development of marineeconomy and marine biological industry is regarded as one of the eight strategicemerging industries. With the guide of strategic plan, accelerating the development ofmarine biological industry has become the general trend which provide bothopportunities and challenges for the sustainable development of marine economy.Therefore, the paper focuses on marine biological industry in Shandong Province topropose countermeasures for the sustainable development of Blue Economy.Firstly, the paper introduced the concept and features of sustainable developmentof industry based on the review of relevant theories and elaborated the currentsituation of marine biological industry in Shandong Province and made a scientificjudgment of the sustainable development level of marine biological industry bybuilding an evaluation index system. Finally, the paper proposed the countermeasuresfor the acceleration of sustainable development of marine biological industry inShandong Province based on successful practical experience overseas.The main innovation of this paper lies in that the author made empirical analysison current situation of the sustainable development of marine biological industry inShandong Province by building an evaluation index system. Firstly, the author judgedthe sustainable development level of marine biological industry of Shandong Provinceis relative low on the macro perspective, and then the research made analysis on thefactors that affected the sustainable development of marine biological industry fromthe perspective of analytic hierarchy process. Finally, the author took six coastal citiesin Shandong Province for examples and discovered the potential advantages on promoting the development of marine biological industry in each city based on thescientific judgment on the sustainable development level of marine biologicalindustry.
