This paper has carried on theoverall investagation to wild ornamental plants in Qin-ba mountains through the way ofinvestigation. According to the investigating there are206kinds wild plants with ornamentalvalue of Qin-ba mountains. They are belong to49family and133genera; among them thereare4kinds of gymnosperm belong to4family and4genera;23species of monocotyledon, belonging to16genera and6families;179species of icotyledons, belonging to113generaand40families. under the various life type of wild ornamental plants in in Qin-ba mountains. They can be devided into ornamental trees, ornamental vine, herbs, ornamental bamboo andornamental fern etc.5categoties, There are the most herbs species among of them, there is theproportions16:26:50of arbor: bush: grass. Among all these plants, the number of wildornamental plants from the family of Rosaceae are the most, the folowing number families areliliaeeaeAccording to the ornamental value, the woody plants can be devided into flower plants, ornamental shape plants, ornamental fruit plants, ornamental flower and fruit plants, theherbs can be devided into flower plants, ornamental foliage plants, ornamental foliage andflower plants, ornamental flower and fruit plants. There are54kinds of woody flower plants, belonging to18family and32genera, a large proportion of woody plants are form families ofRosaceae(13species)、 Ericaceae (6species), Caprifoliaceae (6species),the number ofornamental shape plants is12species, belonging to9families11genera; and there are23kindsof ornamental flower and fruit plants, belonging to5families15genera. there are95kinds ofornamental herbs plants, belonging to23families68genera, the dormont families areRanunculaceae (13species), Asteraceae (9species), Primulaceae (7species), Lamiaceae (7species), Papaveraceae(7species), Convolvulaceae(6species), Orchidaceae(5species),gentianaceae(4species), Liliaceae(4species). there are10kinds of ornamental herbs plants, belonging to5families5genera,4species belonging to the family of Rosaceae.the Numberof ornamental flower and fruit plants is very little. The paper used the method of Analytic Hierarchy Process to comprehensive ornamentalevaluation of wild plant resources from the aspects of the foliage, the flower, the fruit andecological characteristics. The evaluation result showed151species that havewich highornamental value were selected,151species of wild plants could be devided into4gradesaccording to the result of comprehensive ornamental evaluation,34plants belong to grade I,there are10species woody flower plants and14herbous flower plants, that is Clerodendrumbungei, Sorbaria kirilowii, Buddleja albiflora, Hydrangea strigosa, Paulownia tomentosa,Convallaria majalis, Aquilegia yabeana, Iris tectorum,Delphinium grandiflorum;53plants tograde II,37plants to grade III,16plants to grade IV.The Dominant families of wild ornamental plants Clerodendrum bungei, Sorbariakirilowii, Buddleja albiflora, Hydrangea strigosa. The number of these families plants morethan half of this field investigation, up to55.83%. and the dominant genra RhododendronDelphinium, Primula Gentiana, Potentilla Viburnum, etc. The number of these genraes plantsare55.83%of the field investigationplants in Qin–ba mountains. From analyse the ornamenal plants ecological adaptability that can be found out: in the500-2000m altitude gradient the species diversity of the plants is high up to50%; theproportion of the ornamental plants in1200~2000m altitude gradient is16.02%, that is, thenumber of ornamental plants is33; there are only22plants in1200-2000m altitude gradient, which occupied10.68%. It indicates that34.47%plants in Qin-ba mountains is widelydistributed; The percentage of the most widely distributed scope and the range in general are20.87%and27.67%, the most narrow plants in Qin-ba mountains is only16.99%.85speciesfrom investagated plants” main biotope are bushes and shrubs;27.67%plants of investigatedplants are grown in retirement, there were31.67%and18.44%respectively of plants that growin slope and limes marginis; a large number of plants of Ranunculaceae, Primulaceae,Rosaceae were accustomed to live in grassland.
