Study Of Wild Ornamental Plants In Wushan City

The investigation and introduction, acclimatization of the wild ornamental plant is not only the requirement and foundation of the regional plant landscape, but also an important part of protecting various plants. The development and utilization of the wild ornamental plant can get some precious species protected effectively. At the same time, it enables the full utilization of the abundant wild ornamental plant resources, and the cultivation of more favorable seeds to enrich plants types in the garden, so as to play their essential roles in storing quality plants types.Whshan, for its’ special geographical location and various biotope type, is abound of wild plants, including many magnificent wild ornamental plant resources; however, the introduction and acclimatization, development and utilization of local ornamental plant are partly neglected, as a result, the garden plants are relatively simple and the landscape are unitarily. The present investigation based on practical utilization, integrated ornamental value and together, and classified ornamental plant into tree, shrub, and herb according to different ornamental value. Considering the sharp perpendicular head drop of Wushan as well as particular important of tree in perpendicular area, the present study mainly focus on overall distribution and biotope of selected trees, and provide some suggestions on the selection of ornamental trees refers to different altitude. At the same time, this paper also will give a brief introduction and summarization of some blue, purple flower resources that rarely seen.Around 1^st July, 2006-30^th eighth, 2006, on the Wulipo of Wushan, the National Nature Reserve to declare protected areas, the team following different survey fields, using a combine method of collection and identification, collected 2300, 7000 specimens, 6800 were prepared as plant specimens, 2100 were identified （100 of them are still on identification）. Based on existing investigation, the present study concluded there were 2646 species of vascular plant on Wushan area, belonging to 196 families, 894 species. The author selected 1100 species of the wild ornamental plant, among them; ornamental trees had 180 species, shrub 375 species, vines 245 species, herbs 300 species. All the above-mentioned are of high ornamental value, various colors and all year around florescence to meet the different requirements of gardening. Therefore, the development and utilization of local ornamental plant can ahead the coordinated development of ornamental plants in all kinds of gardening, as well as transfer the irrational structure of plant resources.The present study objected to offer a reference and guidance for the development and the enrichment of the local garden, as well as the utilization and the enrichment of more adaptable, ornamental valuable resources.
