With the development of economy, the talent has become the core of success in competition. Knowledge worker is the core of the talent. It is the key to survive for enterprise in the fierce market environment. Knowledge workers hold the most important knowledge and skills and play a vital role in the development of the organization, and thus become the object of academic research hotspot.The concept of Employee Silence has only emerged for ten years, but there are already many researches on it and draw more attention from scholars at home and abroad. Our study focused on the Silence of Knowledge Workers, which comparatively is a blank field. Inspite of the value in academy, it also has greater value in practice. It is related with Decision-making and even the survival of the whole organization. As knowledge workers usually take charge of key part of the work, the problem they found in their work mostly has critical influence on the development of the organization. If they keep the problem as secret, the organization may face bigger challenge and difficulties in the future.Organization Commitment was raised in1960s. It is the emotional feeling of employees on their organization. The degree of the organization commitment also reflects employees’ willing to stay or leave the organization. It also has a strong relation with working satisfaction. Because its importance, it is fully researched in the past, but there are still little research on its relationship with Employee Silence.This study collected303pieces of questionnairs and take use of SPSS18.0to analyse the statistics. There are several conclusions:Firstly, through the Correlation Analysis and Regression Analysis, we proved the strong relation between Employee Silence and Organization Commitment. The more employees keep silent, the lower their organization commitment will be. There is obvious negative effect of the Employee Silence to the Organization Commitment.Secondly, we concluded the specific of knowledge workers’employee silence behavior. The level is near the middle level and the it has strong relation with the characteristic of knowledge workers personality and their work.Thirdly, the performance of employee silence varies with diffirent demographic variables. Sex, age, education background and working years, all of these factors have an obvious influence on knowledge employees’ silence performance. And the other factors, such as marriage, wage, positions and organization category, have influence on employee silence as well.There is already some research in the behavior of knowledge workers, but the research of their silence is not very much. We explored the characteristics of knowledge workers silence and the effect to their organization commitment through practical research methods. However, with the limitation in experience and time, the sample is not enough and lack representativeness. Besides, we just explore the influence of employee silence to organization commitment. There are also many other factors which are influenced by the silent behavior of employees, which are worth for further research in future.
