As a burgeoning research area employee silence is considered as negative behavior which is common in many enterprises.Employee silence is defined that employees conceal their viewpoints and suggestions from organization even they find out internal problems.It will impact internal communication,cause neglecting and submission and reduce job satisfaction.Employee satisfaction is the evaluation of job features.It is the attitude towards different aspects in job and mood reflection after employees compare expectation with results.Employee satisfaction will affect personal work enthusiasm and operational efficiency.The third-part testing enterprises are referring to those organizations which accept consignation from customer enterprises,and issue the assessment reports after checking the quality,safety,attribute and etc of samples by scientific approaches and professional techniques.Currently,there is little study on domestic third-part testing industry.The third-part testing industry belongs to high-tech industry,where knowledge-workers take up a great proportion.The paper is aimed at exploring the relation between employee silence and satisfaction in the third-part testing industry.According to the domestic and foreign existing research literature on employee silence and satisfaction,the paper constructs the model of employee silence and satisfaction of the domestic third-part testing industry.The paper use questionnaire survey method and make factor analysis,variance analysis,and correlation analysis of effective questionnaire data by SPSS 16.0(Chinese version)statistical software to explore the relation between different employee silence dimensions and employee satisfaction in domestic third-part testing enterprises,as well as the modulatory effect of individual attributes between employee silence and satisfaction.The research results show that:overall,employee silence and satisfaction was negatively correlated in the domestic third-part testing industry.The negative correlation has been verified mostly-disregardful and acquiescent silence with every dimension of employee satisfaction.Defensive silence has no significant correlation with every dimension of employee satisfaction.marital status,education background,work seniority and enterprise scale have no significant correlation on employee silence and satisfaction.Age,length of establishment,enterprise type and the position level has a modulatory role between employee silence and satisfaction relationship,but the effect is not so obvious.Finally,based on empirical analysis results,the paper puts forward some reference suggestions on how to reduce employee silence and elevate employee satisfaction in domestic third-part testing enterprises.
