Since20thCentury, with the quickening pace of globalization and the approachof knowledge economy and the advent of the information age, it brings the challengefor Multi-National Corporation. The challenge is how to decrease the operational costand implement information technology to improve their own competitiveness.Shared Service Centre(SSC) was found80’s of last century as the internalmanagement platform. By setting up the shared service centre and providing thefinance and HR services, it can avoid the duplicated setup of branches. Through theestablishment of economies of scale and standard process, SSC can reduce theoperation cost. This thesis is going to find a new way to establish shared servicecentre and to break the limitations and contribute more to the development of Multi-National Corporation based on the current functionalities.With the study of global economic environment and traditional shared servicecentre theory and business model, through analysis and demonstration, we can findthat the shared service centre mainly play the role in daily management, notperforming the tasks of collection, delivery and re-using of information. The conceptof global learning and learning organization is often mentioned in the recent years, tohelp enterprises to improve the competitiveness of learning,. This thesis is aninnovation to combine global learning, learning organization and shared servicecentre together. To build shared service centre as a platform and a learningorganization, it can help to perform the integration and re-using of knowledge andinformation. In addition, through process development, SSC can reach the goal ofglobal learning and improve enterprise competitiveness.This thesis introduces the establishment of the shared service centre and itslearning strategies. It helps to explain how to build SSC based on Multi-NationalCorporation global learning concept proposed in this thesis. Furthermore, through thecase of shared service centre of IKEA, the group that has very complex businessmodel. It can help to prove the hypothesis from the perspective of practice that globallearning based on Shared Services Centre can help Multi-National Corporation to enhance their competitiveness.On the other hand, from a practical point of view, the shared service centre asone of the important functions of the Multi-National Corporation plays an importantrole in the operation of the Multi-National Corporation. Through the further study ofshared service centre theory, it can help Multi-National Corporation find a practicalway to build up the SSC and also provides some experience and examples forChinese Multi-National Corporation...
