Along with the global economic continually developing and market economic system reform of deeply progressing, the national retailing is facing lots of opportunities and challenges. Whether the department stores can grow up stronger and faster on this kind of background depends on the effective business administration and correct development strategy. In fierce market competition, accurate locating and effective strategy a take a vital role on the development of the department store.Firstly, this paper analysis the situation of the retailing development and the existing problem; secondly, Using the basic methods of strategic research, this paper analysis the macro-environment of DaShang Group, industry environment and market environment; thirdly, along with rapid expansion of Dashang Group, the company in the process of development, gradually exposed in the financial, management, human resources of the existing problems, the paper finds out the advantages and disadvantages and of opportunities and external threats; according to the question existing in DaShang Group this paper the strategic target in the future development and the safeguard measures in implementation.Dashang Group is considered as the leading position of domestic retailing, and it was known as the first global Chinese chain stores.So it has a useful reference for domestic retail to analyse-s and research problems encountering in development. This article is a comprehensive analysis direct at this enterprise himself which derived from macro environment、industry environment and internal conditions. As the possessing the development of marketing, in order to expanding the scale, the enterprise should use the way of Merger or acquisition and meanwhile, for the purpose of the strategic objectives’ achievement, the enterprise should focus on the diversified and differentiated of themselves. Specially, to establish the enterprises’ own market positioning, the enterprises also should make the differences strategic from the other companies who own the same business direction. All of what should be done can increase the influences in the inside and abroad market, so as to promote the sustainable development of Da-shang group.
